Our Story
a journey that took us from the spark of an idea to a successful yoga & wellness business
Studio 99 Yoga & Wellness has proudly served the community with dynamic, powerful, playful yoga classes since 2019.
The studio originally opened as Power Yoga Boro - under the ownership of our Lead Teacher, Mary Soboleski. Mary had been teaching in the greater Erie area for many years, and slowly started to see a need emerge to make yoga more easily accessible for the residents who lived a bit more south.
She followed the nudging of her heart and within ONE month she had the business set up, a studio space rented, and began welcoming the first PYB students! Mary and her husband, Todd, literally built the space from the ground up with their own hands, including the gorgeous reclaimed wood furniture featured throughout the studio space.
Over time, the community and the team continued to grow. The studio became known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, in which yoga practitioners of all skill levels, from all walks of life, can gather together exactly as they are and share in their practice.
"Create space for people to step into & experience in their own greatness."
-Baron Baptiste
After 3 successful years in operation, another evolution of the studio was on the horizon. Mary was ready to step away from her role as owner of the studio, to dedicate more time to her family and refocus on her first love of teaching yoga.
In November 2022, Monica Graves Garcia and Regina Rupert were thrilled to join together as co-owners of the studio! They spent time cultivating a reimagined and expanded mission for the community.
They envisioned a broader reach - being able to serve students and seekers in the surrounding regions of McKean, Waterford, Fairview, and the greater Erie area. And they also wanted to create an inclusive space that would provide educational experiences and immersions in a wide variety of holistic health and healing modalities.
From this vision - Studio 99 Yoga & Wellness was born!
We’re now proud to feature a team 7 incredibly talented and diverse teachers, who share a collective 58 years of experience among them.
Get to know the teachers below and join us for a class soon. We’d love to welcome you into the studio!

Regina Rupert
CO-OWNER, TEACHER, REIKI FACILITATOR
Regina’s personal journey with yoga began over 20 years ago. She was an ‘at home’ practitioner with multiple VHS series (yes! THAT old!) produced by Yogis like Rodney Yee, Sean Corne, and Brian Kest, among others. She was a fan of Power Yoga in its infancy in the US, particularly Ashtanga yoga.
Regina enjoyed the physicality of the practice, the moments of mental clarity the work on her mat facilitated, and the overall feeling of calm achieved in Savasana. Regina found the longer she practiced, the more she was able to tap into buried emotions, which was a revelation.Regina discovered the Power Yoga Boro community in January 2020, and the practice of Yoga within a community of like-minded individuals has become the center-point from which she is able to branch out and express love, peace, and a sense of self with the larger community in which we live.
Yoga has allowed Regina to grow as a person and deepen her relationships with loved ones and new friends alike. And now, Yoga has brought her to this new amazing path as a yoga teacher and Co-Owner of a studio! It is her deepest hope that we all move forward together in growth and practice for years to come.

Mary Soboleski
LEAD TEACHER, TEACHER TRAINER
Mary’s yoga journey began with a hot power class in 2011. As she moved through the guided postures, she remembers being aware of many thoughts and emotions rising within. She pushed herself to keep up and was left feeling exhilarated at what her body was capable of doing.
She was immediately hooked and started practicing on a regular basis. Despite the fact that she knew very little about the practice, she discovered that her body instinctively craved the movements.
Mary began yoga teacher training in 2012 with Baptiste Yoga Institute and continued to train with the institute until 2021. She also received certifications in prenatal yoga and kids’ yoga. She was the founder and owner of Power Yoga Boro from 2019-2022, and currently holds a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 credential.
Mary is passionate about sharing yoga with her students and making yoga accessible to everyone. As a teacher, she strives to inspire and empower her students to discover their edge and to realize their full potential. Mary will encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, to be playful, open to new possibilities and to let your inner light shine both on your mat and in your life.

Kim Enterline
TEACHER
At one time in her life, Kim was an avid runner and cyclist completing several marathons and covering hundreds of miles on her bike. Life took it’s unexpected turns and she found herself dreading the long workouts and felt unfulfilled with the intense training. She tried her first power yoga class in 2014 and immediately fell in love with it.
She was in awe of the physical and mental breakthroughs she experienced. For so long, her mind would race with anxious thoughts and her body was constantly tense and on edge. After a yoga class though, Kim felt calm for hours. As she practiced more regularly, she grew stronger than she ever had been and more flexible. It was awesome, but nothing compared to the peace and acceptance that she began to make with herself - her body and her mind.Kim has been teaching yoga since February of 2016. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Amazing Yoga in Pittsburgh. She then went on to complete the Baptiste Power Yoga Teacher Course, The Baptiste Assisting Course, and the Baptiste Kids Yoga Teacher Training. She was trained at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY to teach mindfulness to kids in school. Kim regularly teaches yoga and mindfulness to students of the Fairview School District where she works. She is happily married and lives in the Edinboro community with three grown children.
Kim is committed to leading students in energetic and empowering classes that will challenge and transform your body, mind and heart.

Karissa Taylor
TEACHER
Karissa found yoga in 2014. Her husband (a former Physical Therapist) recommended she add it to her half marathon training program to increase flexibility and prevent injury. After just a few classes in a heated power yoga studio she was hooked! It was one of the hardest workouts she had ever done but the challenge was far more than just physical. She was challenged mentally and emotionally every time she showed up to her practice. This time on her mat healed her physically and mentally. Yoga helped ease her Post-partum anxiety and gave her an inner peace and calm that no medicine ever could.
In 2016, Karissa went to yoga teacher training with Amazing Yoga, located in Pittsburgh. At this time she had no idea if she would want to teach, but she couldn’t wait to dive deeper into her practice. She was looking forward to re-connecting to herself while feeling a little lost in being a stay at home mother. After one full week of immersing herself in yoga, she knew she had to share this gift with others. She then went on to her 200 hour teacher training with Amazing Yoga in Tulum, MX in 2018 and then received certification as a Meditation teacher from Plasha Yoga studio in 2019.
As a practicing RN, Karissa is passionate about health and loves helping her students on their wellness journey. She believes that in order to achieve wellness one must be aligned in physical, mental and spiritual health. Yoga has allowed for so much growth and healing in her personal journey to health. Her intention as a teacher is for her students to simply “show up” as their true authentic self and allow their practice to meet them where they are at.
A forever yoga student and teacher, Karissa is excited and honored to guide your practice and connect with YOU!

Catie Weber
TEACHER
Catie’s yoga journey began 18 years ago in her living room with a YogaZone VHS tape (yes, that long ago!). She was amazed that one form of exercise could be so all-encompassing. Poses that were simple and straightforward invited her to get a workout, then enjoy the moments of stretching and relaxation. Catie continued to develop her yoga practice to discover new asanas and variations that both supported and challenged her.
Over time, Catie fell in love with the depth of yoga and learned she could also embrace the emotional and spiritual gifts of a yoga practice, helping her to grow as a person.
While she is new to studio teaching, she brings with her two years of teaching in 1:1 and small group settings. Catie’s teaching style is to offer the education of the pose and the emotional components that allow for self-awareness, challenge and growth. She is here to offer a safe and supportive space for you to embrace your practice wherever you are in your yoga journey!

Karla Bretz
TEACHER
Karla received her 200-Hour Certification from Satya Yoga in June 2013 and has been teaching consistently since. While actively teaching classes over the last nine years, Karla worked in the nonprofit sector, mainly in mental health and arts, where she offered elements of holistic wellness to those she worked with in the community. Karla currently works a remote position in an HR role and is excited to offer classes at Studio 99.
Karla’s teaching philosophy is that yoga is for everyone. Every body can benefit from elements of yoga, whether it is asana, pranayama, or the act of community with fellow yogis. She has experienced healing from yoga firsthand and has witnessed therapeutic benefits of yoga for chronic illness and mental health. Karla is passionate about sharing yoga with all who are open to experiencing its benefits.
Karla has taken many yoga workshops focused on mental health, breath work, yoga alignment, creativity, and meditation from notable teachers such as Max Strom, Mary Beth LaRue, and Jacki Carr. She looks forward to incorporating all elements of yoga into her classes at Studio 99 and hopes to see you in a class soon.
